2018-19 Fall-Winter Papillion Recreation Guide

LETTER FROM THE MAYOR This fall is the start of something special for the Papillion Recreation Department and our community! The first component of Papillion Landing, the indoor turf fieldhouse, is expected to open Nov. 1. Of course, Papillion Landing will not be fully complete until the community center facility opens fall 2019. But in the meantime, keep an eye out for activities at the new fieldhouse. Our Recreation Department has a number of kick-off events planned to introduce the new facility to the public. It’s an exciting time for recreation in Papillion. In the past, our recreational programming would typically become sparse in the wintertime. But looking ahead to the completion of the community center, we are eager to provide a year-round space with a wealth of programming for residents of all ages and interests. The ultimate goal of this facility is to make a positive impact on Papillion’s quality of life. Creating a high quality of life for our residents is at the heart of everything we do as a city government. That starts with public safety, well-maintained infrastructure and efficient City services. Recreation plays an important role in this focus, helping to create a vibrant, active community — an enjoyable place to live! I encourage you to explore this guide to learn more about our Recreation Department and its many offerings. Also, learn about the offerings of Papillion Landing and stay up to date about its progress at www.PapillionLanding.com.
